Crossmount is its own little village featuring a beautiful event venue, giftshop and café, and of course – the Crossmount Cider Company. Located about 5 kilometers south of Saskatoon on Lorne Avenue, the area is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, paths, and a pond. It's one of the most gorgeous areas around Saskatoon.
I had no idea it existed until my friend got married there a couple of years ago. Since our friend’s wedding at the Glen at Crossmount, we always talked about going back to check out the café and cidery. We've been trying to embrace the outdoors this season, so when we saw that the pond was open as a skating rink, we decided to lace up those dusty skates. We drove out on New Years Eve and spent the day there. The skating rink was surrounded by picturesque landscapes. After spending some time on the rink, we warmed up with a hot mulled cider and then headed to the café for a bite to eat. The food and drinks were amazing.
We’ve been back a few more times since then and it’s always a great time. We love going for a skate on the rink and warming up with a refreshing cider after. Even though we're nearing the end of this winter weather, March has a nasty habit of throwing us a second winter, so maybe you still have a chance to check out the rink and grab a cider.
